Monash University policy and procedures approval delegationsThe university’s operations fall broadly into two categories: academic and management, although there may be overlap in some cases. The approval process for university-wide policies and procedures aligns with this broad division and with the institution’s organisational structure.
Where a policy has both academic and management implications, it will be submitted to both Academic Board and the Strategy and Resources Committee. The policy will be approved by the body to whom the policy is more relevant, and endorsed by the body to whom the policy is less relevant. In some cases, policies will be approved by the University Council. Academic policies are endorsed by, and academic procedures approved by, the relevant Standing Committee of Academic Board or organisational unit:
Management policies are endorsed by, and management procedures approved by, the relevant management division: |
